The links below contain PDFs for local scholarships. Please read carefully for due dates, post-marked dates (dates they must be mailed in), and who the scholarship should be turned in to. See Mrs. Davis with questions.
National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators (NAFEPA) Scholarship- Deadline is January 12, 2024; This scholarship is for ANY senior planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college next school year. Click link above to access the application. Click on this link for the application checklist and coversheet. Both documents need to be submitted in order to apply.
American Legion Oratorical Contest- "A Constitutional Speech Contest"- Deadline is January 29, 2024; Any student grades 9-12 may apply for this national scholarship opportunity with many opportunities to win prizes up to a $2500 scholarship. You must follow the American Legion speech creation guidelines that are linked above.
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Scholarship- Deadline is March 1, 2024. Any male student with community involvement and strong grades may apply.
Bobby Atkins Memorial- Masonic Lodge Scholarship- Due March 1, 2024. Any YCHS senior may apply. Financial needs are considered but not mandatory.
CTEA FDJTC Scholarship- Due March 8, 2024. Any YCHS senior who is a completer in the technology center may apply.
South Carolina Education Association-Retired Scholarship- Due March 22, 2024. Any future education major planning to attend a South Carolina college full time next year. The student must hold a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate leadership qualities, and financial need.
Western York County NAACP Scholarship- Due March 28, 2024. One YCHS senior will earn this local scholarship. Any minority student with a 3.0 GPA or higher may apply.
Girls on the Run Scholarship- Deadline is April 12, 2024; Any student who participated in "Girls on the Run" in elementary or middle school.
York Tech Academic Achievement Scholarship- Deadline is April 12, 2024; Any student attending York Tech next year. Must be top 30% in the senior class and be able to demonstrate financial need.
