WELCOME BACK COUGARS
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at YCHS! We hope our students have enjoyed their summer break and are ready to start another successful school year. Each year, the counselors choose a word of the year to be the focus of the counseling department. This year we chose the word "inspire". Take the opportunity this school year to motivate yourself with that initiative, but don’t keep it to yourself. If you can get into a mindset of relentless optimism, share it with others. Help them to see the opportunities, not the lack of possibilities. Show them the upside, not the downside. Encourage them with enthusiasm. Become an engine of inspiration, fuel for optimism, and oxygen for the opportunity!
We look forward to working with students and parents as we grow together throughout this new school year!
Schedule Your 12th Grade IGP
It is time for all Seniors to schedule their individual graduation plan meeting (IGP)! We will be holding 12th grade IGPs from August 19th to September 20th. These meetings typically take around 30 minutes. During your IGP, we will review your graduation requirements and your plans for after high school. For those students planning on attending college after high school, we will also briefly review college applications, scholarships and financial aid.
If you cannot attend your child's IGP in person, we encourage you to participate by phone. We look forward to seeing everyone there! Please use the link below for your specific counselor to schedule your meeting.
Steps to scheduling your appointment:
(1) Click on your School Counselor's Name (Based on your last name)
(2) Click the date/time you prefer for your meeting (Select one)
(3) Enter your information (Use Student Name for Appointment).
(4) Click SCHEDULE EVENT to confirm.
